Concerts, concerts and more concerts

I have trying to pinpoint some of the personal music highlights of 2009. There are too many to mention but here are a few that come to mind.
As it pains me to say this but seeing Human Nature in Vegas earlier this year was something to remember! I think it was the fact that they’re Aussies just made it special. Seeing the audience slowly warm to these four white guys singing Motown was great.
Concerts, concerts and more concerts. I think our first one for 2009 was A Day On The Green at Rochford Wines in the gorgeous Yarra Valley back in March. That was a fabulous afternoon with The Badloves, Ross Wilson, Kasey Chambers with hubby Shane Nicholson and of course the one and the only Jimmy Barnes! The weather was just perfect and the performers enjoyed themselves wholeheartedly.
But I have to say my favourite three concerts of 2009 would have to be Diesel at The Palms (no surprises there, right?), Eddie K at The Forum and Mr. Keith Urban at Rod Laver Arena. Diesel is just a legend, a legend of rock, legend of the blues and a legend of the guitar! Also because he’s a really sweet guy we love supporting him! I’m so looking forward to seeing what avenue he goes down next. (I’ve heard that it’s concerts with an orchestra.)
Eddie Kowalczyk surprised us Aussie Live fans by doing a solo tour in August! That night at Melbourne's Forum was amazing! Eddie and his guitar... Unforgettable!
Keith Urban was just superb! He blew my Mum, Aunty and I away with his two and something hour show. He’s an amazing performer who really ensures his audience is part of the show! He forgets about the paparazzi stuff which if it was me I would want a safe distance from anybody!
With doing Gigs ‘n Reviews’ Myspace Discovery I have met a lot of wonderful people. Their support and gratefulness encourages me to continue. I was absolutely thrilled when Dallas Frasca agreed to do an interview with me and then to receive three pages back of answers. That was very cool indeed! I hope I can bring you even more interviews in 2010.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to Gigs ‘n Reviews. Even if you have only voted or made comments thank you!
Have a rockin’ 2010!
Cheers Jacqui
