INXS Play With Special Guest At The Winter Olympics
February 26th 2010 02:06
Yesterday on the radio’s news report we thought we heard that INXS were going to perform at the Winter Olympics closing ceremony with J.D Fortune. We thought we heard wrong.
No, it really was happening according to INXS’ Facebook page.
Now the whole “he said, they said” saga has just even more intriguing and confusing.
On Facebook there’s an overwhelming swing towards wanting J.D back full-time. I have to agree with them.
INXS have an upcoming album of their classic hits with various guest singers. When I first heard that they were planning this, there was an eek factor about it. Instead of leaving their classics alone and moving forward, they want to cash in on the past. Michael Hutchence’s presence on these tracks will be erased, replaced with new interuptations and sounds. Don’t get me wrong, INXS should remember their old bandmate with their back catalogue, but not like this; not experimenting with different singers.
It’s going to get interesting to see if J.D will play a part in INXS’ future. Here’s a video of Disappear from the closing ceremony:
