The Pussycat Dolls Raising The Pink Bar

The world conquering girl band The Pussycat Dolls did a show this week in the Australian city Melbourne, helping raise awareness and money for breast cancer.

At the chariety event the group helped raise $500,000 to the cause which will go towards assisting The National Breast Cancer Foundation.


Debate has popped up once more about the new wave of female popstars’ outfits or lack of. Let’s hope this won’t take the spotlight off raising much-needed awareness and funding for breast cancer research.

Jon Bon Jovi's Trouble With Using Another's Lyrics

For those who haven’t heard, Jon Bon Jovi is reportedly being sued by a Boston musician for the unbelievable amount of $400 billion US dollars which in Australian dollars is close to $600 billion dollars.


Samuel Steel, the singer/songwriter from the band The Chelsea City Council is claiming Bon Jovi used his lyrics from his album which was called (Man I Really) Love This Town. On Bon Jovi’s Lost Highway album there is a track called I Love This Town.

For a few years I have noticed that Jon has some lyrics on the band’s albums since the beginning of the millennium.

With Richie Sambora’s problems recently and now with Jon’s upcoming possible payout, I ask is it time for Bon Jovi to tthink about taking a break?

There’s one thing that gets me really fired up! It’s when religious leaders or groups condemn an artist or group for a song.

Katy Perry is the latest victim of a Pastor’s bible-bashing torrent. Because Perry wrote a song which says she kissed a girl and she liked a church in Ohio put up a sign saying, "I kissed a girl and I liked it/Then I went to hell." The Pastor then defended the sign, "a loving warning to teens

The Badloves are back!

Yesterday it was announced that The Badloves are back together!!!! I was delighted to read this news as The Badloves were one of my favorite Australian bands during the 90's!

The Badloves will be doing some gigs later this year. As more details arise I'll keep you all posted.

Last night on the current affairs program Today Tonight they had a report on the whole Jess Origliasso gay relationship and porn scandal.

When I heard that The Veronicas had a new single and album coming out, the cynical voice in my head yelled at the teley. Bad publicity can be good publicity in the entertainment business

Camera fun gone wrong

The Australian media are having a field-day with the Jess Origliasso story. Jess is one of the twin sisters from The Veronicas and yesterday a raunchy photo of the singer was discovered on a porn site.

The Veronicas’ record company have confirmed that the photo is indeed of Jess. Apparently the photo was taken on a camera phone three years ago

E Street Band Loses a Beloved Member

It’s been a slow and boring month for music! Last night I perused the iTunes store and there was nothing that stood out. Although I discovered some sad news about a member of The E Street Band. The band have been Bruce Springsteen’s very tight-knitted musical family for an amazing forty years.

Danny Federici who was the keyboardist of the E Street Band lost his three-year battle with melanoma in April. Just a month before his death, he played with the band as part of their current tour
