Nickelback make a healthy deal with Live Nation
July 9th 2008 03:09
Nickelback are the latest groups to leave their record companies and join forces with Live Nation. However the union will only take place after the band release their final two albums with Roadrunner Records.
The deal with Live Nation is said to bring the band between $50 million and $70 million. Crazy!!!! This includes merchandising, sponsorships, licensing, ticketing, endorsements, DVD and broadcast rights, fan club, website, three albums and three-tour deal.
Very shortly U2 are expected to join Live Nation like Madonna and Jay-Z have. The Madonna deal was estimated at a whopping $150 million.
Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger said, "We are extremely confident that Live Nation's complete global team is the world's finest and we are excited to be a part of the Live Nation vision and future!"
