Back From America

Hi Readers,
I’m back from our Trip from America. As you would have read on Gigs ‘n Reviews two weeks ago we were fortunate enough to meet one of Mum’s favourite bands Human Nature. That was a good night.
Sorry if your American, but the majority of your radio stations suck. The radio even sounded different for some reason. Here in Australia it’s so much clearer, even with digital radio not here yet. They have their fair share of Country and Christian stations too. There were a couple of rock stations, one sounded like the soundtrack for Supernatural (ROCK ON!!!) and a few Mexican/Spanish stations. In Beverly Hills there was one good station similar to our Vega.
Hearing INXS and Keith Urban was always great! They sure love the old-school INXS!
Unfortunately I never saw any music video shows on television. But in Beverly Hills there was a Virgin Megastore and once again they’re big on classic albums such as those by The Beatles, Taylor Dane and Hall And Oats. Once again Keith Urban’s latest album Defying Gravity was in their Top 20 albums. Go Keith!!
On a whole America’s music scene is totally different and exactly the same to Australia in some aspects.
We're glad to be home to hear Powderfinger, Dragon, Eskimo Joe and other good old Aussie rock!
