A Classic From Jeff Buckley

Last night Mum was listening to Mark Vincent (Australia’s Got Talent winner in 2009) and I caught a listen to his version of Hallelujah. While it was good, I can’t go pass Jeff Buckley’s version.
He made it his own! He made it sound like it was from the 1800’s. I always get a picture of a king with his queen and get transported back there for a moment. You can listen to it here:
Hallelujah

But my favourite JB song would have to be Lover You Should’ve Come Over! Like Hallelujah, it came from Grace, Buckley’s 1994 album Grace which has become a cult classic.
At the start of Lover, You Should’ve Come Over there’s a sailor feel to the song; maybe taking the listener on a journey through waves of emotions; happiness, sadness, love, loss, anger, yearning and so on.
Jeff Buckley was a brilliant poet who made timelines classics that told stories of life’s journeys.
