From now onwards Gigs ‘n Reviews will have a weekly feature where you can read and discover an artist or band on Myspace.

It was only fitting to kick off the Gigs ‘n Reviews’ weekly Myspace Discovery with a good friend of mine, Kate Delaney.

Kate is a talented, yet alone one very cool Singer/songwriter/guitarist. She enjoys doing gigs in NSW and recording new music regularly.

Her music reflects her bubbly and kind personality. Her songs are truthful, rocky and different: dabbling in jazz, soul, rock, blues and pop.
She has five tracks playing on her Myspace, all very different to each other. She has a worldly sound and powerful vocals that are descriptive and full of passion and experience. Inner City Chic is my favourite as it has a really fun beat to it. Kate’s version of Somewhere over the Rainbow is a beautiful dedication to her Mum. It’s a pleasure to listen to.
