John Nathaniel
Myspace
John Nathaniel is one talented singer/songwriter/musician who just loves music in general!! His songs have a bit of rock, bit of pop and bit of classical just like his iTunes library.
John has shared many of his songs on Myspace. They are rich in lyrics and show John’s ability as a songwriter. His husky voice and sincerity in tracks like the new single Two Of Us makes you want to listen.
I was lucky enough to have a chat with John. You’ll soon discover how level-headed this guy is he.
1. Where do you get your inspiration to write?
I write music and inspire myself from things and people around me. Lyrically, I sometimes write stuff that to me doesn't make sense, but a few days later, reading it back, I realize that I'm pouring my heart out!
2. You play various instr8uments. How did you get so talented?
I sold my soul when I was a child. {laughs} Just kidding but thanks for the compliment. Well, I practice music every day. There is no secret, I know everyone wants a magic answer when it comes to that question, but the only thing I can say is that practicing music everyday really helps. {smiles}
3. What would your ideal goal be?
For people around the globe to know my music and to be able to share my art with the world.
4. Was stepping away from a record deal hard? Would you ever want one?
Not as hard as it was expensive. I don't close doors to future deals. I just want to take my time and find the right label who respects me as an artist.
5. Your songs have a bit of everything ie: rock, pop, classical. Your CD collection must be interesting. What’s in it?
I must admit that growing up, I did listen to classical music, mostly because of my Dad, who has a huge classical record collection. In mine, you can mostly find 90's rock bands, I guess I was really a grunge/ post grunge guy. Now, I mostly buy digital on iTunes because I have no place to rack CDs! Thank God you can store a lot of songs on an ipod because I buy a lot of music, I'm always into discovering new bands/artists.
You can download John’s new EP called Crash And Burn at here and his new single Two Of Us is now available on iTunes.
I would like to thank John and his manager Mike B for their time and allowing me to have this interview. Thank you!!
