Brad Kennedy
Myspace Link
For the long awaited return of Gigs ‘n Reviews’ Weekly Myspace Discovery, I chose someone from our neck of the woods. His name is Brad Kennedy and on Myspace he defines himself as “singer/poet/guitarist/ songwriter/musician/ peace bearer/harmonizer/ friend to the animals...” so I was keen to listen to more of his tunes.
If you were a fan of Lenny Kravitz, you’re going to love this guy. Brad produces raw sounding rock that you can’t help listening to.
Brad treats us to four of his tracks on his Myspace. He has this great rawness and edginess to his songs with unique catchy lyrics.
The first track Sleeze Café has the energy of a Lenny Kravitz song even though Brad doesn’t have access to all the big production technology. Lifetime is a beautiful acoustic lovesong that Brad wins his listeners over with his smooth vocals. Comin Round is another rocky song, again sounding much like Lenny Kravitz.
Brad hopes to be in the studio soon recording his debut album titled The Calm Among Chaos, so look out for more information on Myspace.
