Spaceship Days
Since doing this feature I have come across some fantastic artists and bands who are making damn good music without the support from a labels. The indie movement seems to be taking off all over the world!
Spaceship Days are a five member band from North Carolina who are unsigned and very proud of their music. They combine rock and some pop elements to create very catchy tracks. When I first listened to their first single Big World Pop Star from their upcoming release, I really dug it.
As their name suggests, their music has that spacey sound like David Bowie 70’s stuff. Although the songs’ topics are much grounded ones such as lost love (The One That Got Away), remembering seasonal friendships that only lasted a summer (Oceans) and the state of today’s music industry (Big World Pop Star).
My Life With You is a great song. It pictures a wedding scene for me.
The guys from Spaceship Days are great people and I highly recommend people to visit their Myspace.
I wish Spaceship Days all the best for your future!
