Wrong Place, Wrong Time... David Franj
April 3rd 2008 07:15
In recent times finding a talented singer/songwriter who actually crafts stories into their lyrics is rare. In 2002 I was sitting at my desk, getting ready to go out to the kitchen table when suddenly I was stopped in my tracks by a song that came on the radio. It was Oxygen and I remember eagerly waiting to hear who the artist was. The dj announced it was a new Melbourne singer/songwriter David Franj. I was blown away with David’s sound and heartfelt lyrics.
In March 2003 David’s debut album Wrong Place, Wrong Time was released. It produced three Top 40 hits; Oxygen, God Only Knows and Never Be Amazing and these were soon added to national radio playlists. This album became one of my favourites to listen to. Wrong Place, Wrong Time is an album you can play whatever mood you might be in; you can easily relate to David’s stories of love and loss.
